myCFO

Terms of Use

Last updated November 4, 2026

These terms cover your account, the data you connect, and what myCFO does and does not promise.

Using myCFO

myCFO is provided by Ascend Minds Solutions LLC. By creating an account, signing in, or using the app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use myCFO.

What myCFO is

myCFO is a personal finance workspace that organizes the data you enter and the data your connected institutions share. It is not a bank, broker, lender, or adviser, and it never moves money.

myCFO is not a registered investment adviser, broker-dealer, tax preparer, lender, or insurance agent, and using it does not create an advisory, fiduciary, or client relationship with anyone. Nothing in myCFO is a recommendation that is personal to you from a licensed professional, including in advice mode. You are responsible for your own financial decisions. Talk with a licensed professional before a significant decision.

Who can use myCFO

You must be at least 18, live in the United States, and not be barred from using the service under US sanctions law. myCFO is for your own personal finances, not for a business or for managing someone else's money. Give accurate information, keep your password and one-time links private, and tell us if you think someone else has access. You are responsible for activity under your account.

Connected institutions

Institution connections are read-only and are authorized by you inside Plaid Link. Plaid's terms and privacy policy apply to that connection. You can disconnect at any time in the app, which stops future syncing.

Plans and billing

Paid plans are billed in US dollars through our payment processor, Stripe, and renew automatically each period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your plan page, which opens our payment processor's billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you paid for, and the account then moves to the free plan. Fees already paid are not refundable, including for a partial period, except where the law requires it. We may make an exception at our discretion. We will give you at least 30 days' notice of a price increase, and you can cancel before it applies. You are responsible for taxes on your purchase, other than taxes on our income.

myCFO AI plans, credits, and fair use

Paid plans may include a monthly number of myCFO AI credits at the price shown on the plan page. Credit amounts, limits, and prices may change, and the values shown in the app before you use an action are the current ones.

Credits are for normal personal use. Do not resell access, automate requests to bypass limits, or use myCFO AI to harm the service or another person. We may rate-limit or suspend use that breaks these terms or puts the service at risk.

Unused credits do not roll over. Credits and plan features have no cash value, are not transferable, and are not refundable except where the law requires. Turning myCFO AI off does not refund credits already used.

AI features

Chat, Research, Radar, Insights, briefings and suggestions are generated in whole or in part by AI. No person reviews each answer before you see it. AI can be wrong: it can misread a transaction, miscalculate, rely on data that is out of date or incomplete, or state something that sounds right and is not. Projections rest on assumptions that may not hold. Check anything important against your own records before you rely on it. Your agreement with an AI provider you connect yourself also applies.

Beta features

Some features are marked beta and are offered only to accounts we invite. A beta feature may change, give lower-quality results, or be withdrawn without notice. One beta feature, advice mode, lets myCFO AI share direct views on your finances, such as whether a holding looks concentrated or which debt to pay first. Advice mode is still AI output under these terms: it is not advice from a licensed professional, it does not create an advisory relationship, and you decide what to do.

Your content and AI output

You own the data you enter and the files you upload. You give us permission to store and process them only to run myCFO for you. You may use the AI output you receive for your own purposes. If you send us feedback, we may use it to improve myCFO without paying you.

Acceptable use

Do not use myCFO to break the law, to access an account that is not yours, to interfere with the service, to scrape other users' data, or to resell access. We may suspend an account that puts the service or other users at risk.

Availability and changes

myCFO is provided as is and as available. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, including that the service or its output is accurate, complete, or fit for a particular purpose, and that it will be uninterrupted or error free. Data from institutions and other providers comes from them, and we do not guarantee it.

Features, provider integrations, and limits may change or be withdrawn.

Indemnity

If you break these terms or the law while using myCFO, and that leads to a claim against us by someone else, you agree to cover our reasonable costs of that claim, to the extent the law allows.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Ascend Minds Solutions LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses, or for decisions you make based on information in the app. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim about myCFO is limited to the greater of the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or $100. This does not limit liability for fraud, or any liability that cannot be limited by law.

Ending your account

You can delete your account yourself from Settings > Security when account deletion is enabled. Deletion is immediate and permanent: it removes your profile, workspace data, bank connections and their history, AI keys, chats, files, alerts, and subscription, and keeps only a record of what you agreed to and when, without your financial data, plus the deletion audit row. We may suspend or end access if these terms are broken, if the law requires it, or if the service is discontinued.

Resolving disputes

  • Talk to us first. Email support@mycfoiq.com and give us 30 days to try to fix it.
  • Arbitration. If we can't resolve it, you and we agree that any dispute about myCFO is settled by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, not in court. Either side may instead bring an individual claim in small claims court.
  • No class actions. Claims are brought only individually, not as a plaintiff or class member in any class, collective or representative action. There is no jury trial.
  • Opt out. You can opt out of arbitration by emailing support@mycfoiq.com within 30 days of first accepting these terms, with your name and the email on your account.
  • Deadline. A claim must be brought within one year after it arises, to the extent the law allows.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia and applicable US federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any matter not sent to arbitration is heard in the state courts of Gwinnett County, Georgia, or the federal court for the Northern District of Georgia.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For a material change we will tell you in the app or by email at least 15 days before it takes effect, and ask you to agree again when you next sign in. If you don't agree, you can stop using myCFO and delete your account in Settings, or ask us to delete it by email.

Export and sanctions

Do not use myCFO from a country under US embargo, or if you are on a US government restricted-party list.
